DON'T BE A VICTIM OF CYBER CRIMES.

It is STRANGE & SILLY that although cyber crimes are reported regularly, they are being repeated again and again. Even the well-educated professionals are being royally cheated.

Many have already lost huge sums of money and in most cases they are not traceable at all. It is high time we liberated ourselves from these types of easily avoidable crimes.

A few proactive measures appended:

The moment you take a call, assess whether it is with a hidden intent. No bank will ask for your password.
No police will arrest you using a video call. If you listen to anything of that sort, just disconnect the call. Nothing is going to happen.

Be cautious with emails, attachments, and links from unknown sources.

Use only reputable antivirus software.

Educate yourself on the new emerging cyber threats by reading news papers or other media.

Monitor bank and credit card statements regularly.

Clear browser cache and cookies on a daily basis.

Disable location sharing and camera/microphone access.

Report cyber crimes, if it happens to you to number 1930 to authorities or to your bank immediately.

By being smart and by using common sense we can outsmart the cyber criminals.
