I’ve never seen a more deceitful and twisted President in my 71 years of existence. Trump pretends to be a puritan, a Christian, but his actions suggest otherwise – he’s blessed with everything except intelligence & integrity.

Yesterday, Trump claimed his discussion with Iranian counterparts as ‘productive’ and announced a 5-day ceasefire, amidst a catastrophic war involving at least 12 nations. However, while negotiations were underway on 28 Feb between the US and Iran, mediated by Oman, Trump triggered a war against Iran – a stark contradiction to his Nobel Peace Prize aspirations. It is likely Trump underestimated the complexity of the situation, thinking Iran could be conquered in a week. He might be buying time, might be he is at crossroads or facing some internal pressure within the US.

Now, nobody knows how to stop the war, as Iran refuses any communication with the US, let alone any negotiation at the top brass level.

This global issue is complicated: Israel seeks ultimate victory, while Trump has other hidden objectives, and Iran has not yet revealed its full capability and still showing resilience. This war’s unpredicted outcomes highlight the miscalculations of the US think tanks.

The takeaway is clear: any fool can start a war, but ending it requires divine intervention.
Experienced advisors can make fatal blunders, as history has many classic examples, killing innocent people and washing their hands clean. History repeats itself – many great leaders have met with their inevitable death of disgrace. Trump, who is fortunate to have many fatal illnesses, will also have an inglorious death, to be buried with a the accompaniment of royal orchestra!

After the second world war, the present war, a totally unnecessary one, is the first devastating catastrophe involving the US, Israel & the Gulf nations. Global leaders like Trump, the personification of audacity and idiocracy combined, & Netanyahu, a sadist engaged in dropping bombs everywhere, should recognize that unilateral decisions, disregarding NATO allies, will isolate the US and Israel. Every nation, regardless of its size, deserves respect and dignity. The US should never expect NATO allies to dance to the tunes of a lunatic called Trump. Oh, what a disgrace for America!

Today, the geopolitics has transformed considerably & in future, many nations will have access to arms and ammunition; and that scenario will split humanity into many small pieces despite the positive impact of the Internet and AI.

Resorting to war over diplomacy will lead to devastating consequences: thousands of innocent lives are being lost, global economic turmoil, and destabilization in many nations are also being taken place.

It must be borne in mind that a war on Iran would impact not only Iran & the US, but also on Israel, Gulf Cooperation Council and much beyond.

Diplomacy, not national pride or hegemony, should guide international relations. Audacity may seem powerful, but it will boomerang. Starting a war is pretty easy and any fool or a warmonger can start it. But to end it after obliterating nations and natural resources needs a lot of effort & it is far more challenging.

Let us prioritize dialogue and cooperation over destructive conflict. The world demands it since it comprises children, infants, innocent men and women along with psychopaths of high order such as Trump and Netanyahu.

Let there be wisdom & peace rather than the expression of might of two simpletons!

Hoarding riches when the needy are struggling to make both ends meet, is definitely an unpardonable crime. The severity of this crime is getting aggravated when we realise that there are a lot of people in every society who are badly in need of food, shelter and healthcare.

Greed’s insatiable nature can lead to an endless pursuit of wealth, often leaving individuals feeling empty and disconnected. To break this cycle, cultivate contentment by focusing on what truly matters: relationships, experiences and personal growth.

It is nobility to practise gratitude by acknowledging and appreciating what you already have. Set realistic goals and prioritize needs over wants. Recognize that true wealth lies in sharing and giving back to the community especially when the whole world is showing signs of world war 111.

Stockpiling riches by a few, while others struggle is a stark injustice. It is a moral imperative to address the needs of basic needs like food, shelter and healthcare of the marginalised. Excessive wealth can perpetuate inequality, fueling social unrest and environmental degradation. By embracing simplicity and generosity, a more equitable society can be created where values and human rights are respected and gender equality, a dire need, is maintained.

Let us redefine wealth and prioritize humanity over materialism. That manifests civic sense, social obligation and upholding ethics in community life. Hope the rich of every society won’t turn a deaf ear to this justifiable appeal.

To begin with, educate yourself and others about the warning signs of toxic leadership, such as narcissism, manipulation and disregard for criticism. Awareness is key to recognizing these traits early on.

Then, transparency and accountability should be demanded from leaders and institutions. Encourage open dialogue, criticism and scrutiny of those in power. This can be done through social media, public forums or designated meetings.

Last but not least, select leaders wisely & participate in the process, rather than maintaining a complacent attitude. Support leaders who demonstrate empathy, integrity, and a willingness to listen. Engage in local politics, volunteer and encourage others to do the same.

By taking these proactive steps, a culture can be created to ensure values and responsibility in leadership and people can reject leaders with toxic behavior. Collective action can definitely prevent destructive leaders from rising to power. For ensuring integrity in leadership, people have to be assertive, logical and intuitive.

Kerala can be proud of enhancing the quality of life of thousands of women. Our nurses have excelled in their noble field in many progressive nations upholding the reputation of India and send millions of dollars to india. Kerala also has imparted good education for the girl student and helped thousands of women to explore their opportunities abroad.

However,
on this Women’s Day, in retrospect, Kerala’s women face a multitude of harsh realities. Physical assaults, baseless allegations based on dogmatic beliefs and prejudices, and collective attacks persist in this male-dominated society.

Today, when AI, Robotics and space exploration are but realities in other parts of the world, women are deprived of their rights and they are sidelined by various authorities for reasons best known to this society. These are sheer facts which cannot be ignored.

Regressive values dictate how women should dress, whom to marry, and on how to walk and talk in a society. Men of almost all religions seem to control the lives of women, and institutions often uphold patriarchal norms. Dogmatic religions, the so-called “progressive” political parties, and authorities frequently prioritize men’s interests over women’s safety. It is high time men recognized women’s autonomy. They are after all human beings, capable of making their own choices.

Let us empower Kerala’s women to live freely, making their own decisions and shaping their own destiny. It is high time women liberated from exploitation of any kind, started breathing free air and enjoy the opportunity to stand on their own feet, while fulfilling their duties as adults, as wives and mothers. In addition, women who are employed are destined to shoulder additional responsibilities at their work place. Empathising with them is the least others can do.

Women’s realization alone that they have every right as men to enjoy themselves will improve the destiny of the mighty women.

Let women come to the fore to uphold their inalienable human rights today when they are multiskilled and strong enough to face challenges aplenty in their lives. Let there be gender equality challenging all religious dogmas to materialise all these basic needs of women.

Belief in God tends to provide solace and hope to those facing life’s challenges and traumas. When confronted with helplessness, faith in God, though an entity which cannot be experienced by our senses, offers a sense of security and comfort, reminding believers that they are not alone in the planet; a dust in the fathomless multiverse.

The conviction that a higher power is guiding and supporting us instills courage and resilience. This trust enables us to reframe difficulties as opportunities for growth and learning, rather than insurmountable obstacles.

Faith also fosters a sense of purpose, helping us find meaning in various adversities of life. It encourages us to look beyond our current struggles, focusing on a greater good. This perspective cultivates patience, optimism, and inner peace, even in the darkest moments.

Moreover, the belief in a benevolent God provides reassurance that we are part of a larger plan, giving us the strength to persevere. By anchoring our hope in God, we can face uncertainty with confidence, knowing that we are supported and loved, no matter what challenges we encounter.

Peace is not the absence of conflict; it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means. A life with material success alone may not offer contentment, unless it provides peace of mind.

It has always been an intriguing question for all philosophers on whether an entity called God has been in existence or not. Though their answers vary, science which is expected to answer all sensible questions cannot answer this simple question whether there is God.

Science could not answer so far what was before the Big Bang, why the cosmos is functioning in a perfect system, what is the purpose of life, how gravity was originated, and there are unanswered questions aplenty which challenge the intellect of the so-called intellectuals.
The concept of an eternal energy, often referred to as God, is a profound and timeless idea that has captivated human imagination for centuries. While its existence cannot be proven empirically, numerous evidences point to its presence. The universe, with its intricate design and harmony, suggests a creator who is eternal and all-powerful. The laws of physics, governing the movement of celestial bodies, and the intricate balance of ecosystems, all leads to a supreme force behind it all.

The complexity of life, with its diverse species and adaptations, is another testament to God’s existence. The human consciousness, our capacity for love and compassion is a mysterious aspect of our existence that transcends physical explanations. Moreover, the experience of spirituality, reported across cultures and time, suggests a connection to something greater than ourselves.

The presence of God is manifested in every heavenly body, species and plant, yet it remains mysterious and stays beyond human comprehension. The intricate web of life, the beauty of nature and the mysteries of the universe all point to an eternal energy that underlies everything. While humans cannot fully grasp its nature, the evidence of its existence is undeniable.

As things are beyond human experience, let us now bow our head before God to be blessed with values such as compassion and the wisdom for the coexistence between nations, cultures and various people. They may practise or not following any religion. The attitude of accommodating everything different is certainly required for reducing the increasing crime at an unprecedented rate, and fostering cooperation among diverse societies for the betterment of humanity as a whole and for the welfare of quality.

Last but not least, every war was fought for peace, no was has ever brought peace. The man who claims to be the mightiest on earth earnestly demanding a Nobel price for peace when he plans many other wars. As such, in thus world of paradoxical statements and hypocritic ideologies, the need for an Almighty god is a basic need, but not an organised religion.

We should never forget that in the UK during the Covid period most British citizens have honoured our nurses with flowers on their doorsteps to express their gratitude for the nursing community.

It is not a cliche to call nurses the ANGELS of healthcare: the unique but less rewarding life saving field. Nursing needs empathy, professionalism and the expertise to work at least 12 hours a day without taking any break, even on the most regressive HARTAL RITUAL of Kerala.

In addition, they have to manage our doctors, who seem to be bit dominating, irritating and anxious relatives of patients, and patients who are either delusional or passing through some traumatic experiences.

Since the three vital aspects of life are food, shelter and healthcare, the service of nurses needs to be acknowledged. It must be borne in mind that nurses have to study at least 4.5 years, while their counterparts in Europe, to cite an example, have to study only 3 years to be a registered nurse. Our nurses are well-respected in all the progressive nations such as 27 nations in Europe, the UK, the US, Canada, Scandinavia,Australasia and the Gulf. In all these places our nurses, as they are doing a demanding job, are paid from 3 lakhs to 6 lakhs per month plus perks since nursing is an essential service and a respectable job.

Needless to state that, nurses are the backbone of Kerala’s healthcare system, working tirelessly to save precious lives and provide quality care. Despite their critical role, they’re underpaid and overworked, earning only ₹20,000 per month, to put in perspective, in Europe our nurses draw Rs 300,000 per month & perks in the first year itself. And in the US and Australia, the starting salary of a nurse is 5 lakhs.

In contrast, an average doctor earns ₹200,000 and various commissions here, highlighting the stark disparity in payment in healthcare. Nurses toil for 12 long hours, 6 days a week, often going above and beyond to care for patients. May I add that although men and women are considered equel, women in Kerala have many more duties such as cooking, household chores, looking after their parents or elderly in-laws and they have to shoulder the additional responsibility of bearing & rearing their children, who might be bit naughty as well. While taking all these responsibilities, nurses are overburdened and highly stressed with the responsibilities of their unique demanding jobs in hospitals tolerating the impersonal attitude of the hospital management. (in certain hospitals nurses are not permitted to sit!)

The demanding schedule of nurses leaves them exhausted, yet they’re expected to provide compassionate care. The nurses’ demand for a hike to ₹40,000 is reasonable, considering their nature of duty, dedication and expertise. It is time their contributions are valued and recognized.

I stand in solidarity with the striking nurses, acknowledging their tireless efforts. It is time for the government to address their legitimate demands and ensure fair compensation for these healthcare heroes. When hospital managements are not hesitant to charge exorbitant charges from patients, why can’t they pay nurses reasonably well.

The earlier their strike is settled, the better it is for patients, their relatives and for 5 star hospitals, the cash cows which are being taken over by multinational companies of the world.

Both approaches have their own merits, but I believe that a combination of education and legal enforcement is necessary for lasting change.

On the one hand, progressive education plays a vital role in transforming societal attitudes. By teaching both boys and girls about gender equality, schools can challenge deep-rooted stereotypes and promote mutual respect. Educated women are more likely to pursue careers, become financially independent and assert their rights. For example, countries with high female literacy rates, such as Finland and Canada, show greater gender equality in workplaces and politics. Education also empowers communities to question harmful traditions and practices, gradually reducing discrimination.

On the other hand, without strong legal frameworks, education alone may not be enough. Stringent laws are essential to protect women from violence, exploitation, and unequal treatment. For instance, laws against domestic abuse, workplace harassment and child marriage provide women with legal recourse and send a clear message that such behaviour is unacceptable. Nations like Rwanda, which introduced strict gender-based laws, have seen significant improvements in women’s representation and safety.

In conclusion, I believe that education and legislation must work hand in hand. Education changes mindsets, while laws provide protection and enforcement. Together, they create a society where women can enjoy equal rights and opportunities.
